4 Techniqus for Moving Past Your Fear
There are moments
when just thinking positively won't move you past your
fear and anxiety. There will be times when simply
waiting it out is the best course of
action.
Fear is much like
a swamp - it begins to consume us if we stand still long
enough and we find ourselves stuck in one spot.
It's difficult to get out, but it's not
impossible.
If you are stuck
in fear as you aim for success, there are 4 ways
out:
1. Consider where
the fear came from in the first place? Have you
been focussing too much energy on the difficulties
instead of the opportunities? Have you been listening to
and influenced by those around you who are cynics and
pessimists? If so, steer away from these people as
they mean you no harm but do you no
good!
2. Take a notepad
and write down what you have achieved so far in your
life. Take a good look at your list of goals and
check the small steps you are taking to achieve them. Are
you still on tracj or have you strayed off track?
If so, get back on track!
3. Take stock of
your natural talents and skills. Fear often tells
us that we, "don't have what it takes." Don't let
fear dictate to you. Assess your skills and positive
attributes, then examine the problem again with this
renewed appreciation of your talents. Remember too that
fear really is not having all the necessary information
you need to help you move on.
4. Finally,
remember this acronym when facing FEAR,
F = False
E = Evidence
A = Appearing
R =
Real
For this is what
FEAR really is. Picturing in your mind what you
don't want to happen and making you believe this is
real.
Once you know and
understand these things and how you mind works, you will
be able to move past your fear and onto the next step in
achieving life long success.
